final project

I.               Introduction:
Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself?
Health and wellness professionals must develop psychologically, spiritually and physically in order to assist others in making healthy lifestyle choices.  As a holistic health and wellness practitioner I have to continue to work on my inner world.  My goals are to improve my exercise regimen by adding running and yoga daily.  I currently bike and do yoga, just not as consistently as I would like.  I will also work on new meditation and mindfulness techniques.  I plan to do a juice fast as my near future goal and to eat more live, uncooked, unprocessed foods from now onward.

My professional goals tie in with achieving and maintaining changes in my life.  I plan to begin writing out goals for my holistic health practice and find a place where I can have my office.
II.             Assessment:
How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?
My health in each domain is a 7.  I feel that there is always room for improvement in all aspects of my health.   My goal is to raise the score of my health.   I strive to flourish.
III.            Goal development:
List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.
My physical goals are to run and do yoga daily.
My psychological goal is to maintain balance in my psychological life.  The biggest issue for me is anxiety.  I intend to do use more meditation and mindfulness to manage my anxiety.  I have already seen a difference through meditating more often.   I will increase my meditation time and frequency and try new forms of meditation.

My spiritual goal is to have gratitude for the abundance in my life on a daily basis.  Yoga, meditation and self care all are part of my spiritual practice.  My goal is to remain steadfast with my inner growth and to do what is in my inner power to maintain balance and wholeness in my life.
IV.         Practices for personal health:
What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.
The strategies that I have to foster physical growth is to eat nutritious whole live plant based foods every day and do juice fasts/feasts seasonally.  I will jog, bike and do yoga often.  I will bike to work, jog and do yoga every day.

My psychological growth will be fostered by my connections to family, friends and community.  I will continue to go to group transpersonal therapy every other Friday morning and to individual healing sessions to maintain my balance and work on my inner journey.

My spiritual growth will be fostered through meditation, yoga and connection to the oneness vibration of the earth and beyond.
V.           Commitment:
How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?
I will assess my progress through maintaining a journal of my growth.  This will also help me to maintain my long-term practice of growth.  Staying in a rhythm of practicing self- care and maintaining my health and wellness will be done through journaling my progress, increasing my meditation and visualization toward a place of wholeness and oneness with all of life.
