I found the meditation to be very relaxing and reflective. I have been feeling very stuck lately with knowing I have wisdom to share and not knowing quite how to do that. This meditation reminded me that the wise one is within me and that I can do it. I realized too that I truly need meditation daily. I feel overwhelmed at times because all that I have to do. I enjoy meditation as a way to rest my mind and search within for answers. This type of visualization helps me to find clarity and intuition that greatly assists in my service as a holistic health and wellness practitioner.
Describe the saying: "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" (p.477). How does this apply to the health and wellness professional? Do you have an obligation to your clients to be developing your health psychologically, physically, and spiritually? Why or why not? How can you implement psychological and spiritual growth in your personal life?
The saying that "one cannot lead another where one has not gone himself" means to me that in order to be a leader and example for others to learn from one must walk the talk, which means that they must do their inner and outer work to be a healer. I see the need to develop psychologically, physically and spiritually to become a better teacher and healer. The past 7 years of my life have been spent on inner growth. I have had ascensions and descensions along the way. School and my deep calling to be in my highest potential keeps me moving forward on this path. The more I grow the more ready I am to assist others on a growing path.
